THIS PLACE RULES

This documentary from Andrew Callaghan explores the perfect storm of chaos and division that led to the January 6 Capitol Riot. It was produced by A24 and is available to stream only on Max.

I created this illustration for the key art in a very quick turnaround. The art director was looking for an image that was “Where’s Waldo” inspired to capture the chaos of the events that unfold in the film. They were also looking to achieve an indie movie aesthetic that aligns with the A24 brand.

The challenge of key art is that it must be adaptable to a variety of sizes, and must work both as a large scale billboard and as a small digital thumbnail on the streaming service.
